Description

In this tutorial, I explain how you can crochet a realistic-looking cat. She almost looks alive like a real cat.
I also describe various examples of variations: how the eyes can be created in different ways (crocheted, embroidered ...), if the tail should stick out or hang down, and how the cat pattern can be varied.
Despite the many photos and detailed explanations, I recommend the instructions only to experienced crocheters.

What you should be able to do and what you get
Crochet experience is mandatory.
Instructions to buy here do not include a basic crochet course.
The crochet pattern is described in detail and has many pictures, but the pattern is
A little more demanding and not suitable for beginners.

  • The pattern uses some stitch abbreviations which are not common in US patterns. I have had to google to see what they are. Because I have been crocheting for 40+ years, I am able to figure most of it out - although I've had to put the body/chest aside as it is quite unclear how to shape it (mostly because of the uncommon terminology I think) - what I am ending up with it way too large for the head so is quite frustrating. Hopefully once I go back to it I'll be able to understand how to proceed. The rest of the pattern is easy to follow and the face is super cute.

I downloaded the american version but I am not recognizing these terms. What is WLM - spiral air mesh (s) and M. - mesh (s) I have figured out that KM is a slip stitch, but these are not american terms. I'm stuck on the chest where it says "First crochet a KM in the next st, 1 spiral chain stitch (WLM)" Please help
